CDSU lauds Government

Lamka, Apr 15: The decisive step taken by the state government in inaugurating the AIR station and ADC building here besides the exercise of laying foundation stones for three crucial projects in the district has drawn applause from the district students' apex body, the CDSU.
As a matter of fact, infrastructure facilities viz; mini-secretariat building, AIR station, District Council Office, Sports complex and FCI godown have been the long cherished dreams of this infrastructure deficit town for decades, declared the CDSU in a communiqué today.
On the achievement of some of these projects, the union, 'particularly applauds O Ibobi Singh, Chief Minister of Manipur, Jacintha Lazarus, Deputy Commissioner of Churachandpur and other dedicated officials for their keen efforts in fulfilling the aspiration of the people,' it said.
The remarkable achievement is also a result of the tireless efforts put forward by the individuals, public leaders, social workers and civil society groups with a vision for unity and prosperity, it adds.
It nevertheless calls on all sections of the society, irrespective of caste creed or religion to uphold the values of fraternity and mutual co-existence by shedding the past differences and misunderstandings. Let us strive collectively for a lasting peace and development in the district, it said.(TSE)
