CCpur women hold meet against price rise

Lamka, Jul 10: Looking thin and emaciated an 81 years old women said "I have not been able to get two square meals since the last two to three months back due to the prolonged economic blockades" .

The women namely Batnu , 81, wife of late Roua @ Vala said due to the blockades prices of essential commodities soared up  to such a high that they really could not make their ends with the meager income that her daughter who live with her earns daily.

This has been the confession of Batnu during press a meet organized by the Ccpur Women Organisation at Sielmat Gospel Centenary Hall which starts from 12 noon.

 Batnu further said they have always been bearing with the difficulties they were facing while looking for the opportune moment to express their hardship through proper channels.

She has said through her daughters earning by means of daily wages labour they have been living and some since the past many years but were in such a distressing state of affairs after the economic blockades.

The CCpur Joint Women Organisation, CJWO, spokesperson  JL Sawmi  who has been the president of the organization said at the conferences that  if prices were not control and reduced to a reasonable level it would go on and on and the prevailing rates of prices during this  blockades will become the normal  rates and in that way will be increased higher than ever after

The spokesperson has said based on their investigation they found out that the bussinessmen were doing hoarding business  due to which  the goods are there but were sold at  a fantastic prices  on the pretext that there were no commodities coming due to the blockades.

However the riches got goods in in larges quantities while the poor does not but it at all they got prices were very high
Sawmi has said they will start agitation if thinks does not work out in favour of the publics after giving informing to the appropriate levels of authorities.

The CJWO  said the blockades was over and urge the government to sale goods to the people in the normal rates.

In another development leaders of  the United ZOU Organisation ,UZO,falicitated the three newly elected MDC from the Zou tribes today at about 3 PM at the residents of GS Haupu Special Contractor who is also UZO president located at Lailam Veng.(IFP)
