Trucks start lining up at Mizoram

Lamka, May 14 (IFP): Even as the state government took the decision in favour of opening up Guite road to bring in essential provisions  including foodstuffs and fuels in view  of the  blockade imposed along the two lifelines of the state for more than 60 days, more than 80 trucks have lined up to enter Mizoram via Silchar today.

In the meantime many trucks carrying fuels and other commodities started to pour into the state along the road stretch today itself.

Meanwhile as per sources from the GS Haupu 1st Class contractors the state government reaffirmed its decisions to improved the standing Guite road conditions was welcome.

A meeting convened by the chief minsiter was held this morning at his Bungalow in the presence of the BRTF officials, works minister and other officials in which steps to be taken for immediate improvement of the road has been discussed
In the meantime the CDSU taking serious note of the grave and volatile situation in the market, fixed prices of essential commodities in agreement with Bussiness Association so as to curb the unprecedented hike in prices.

As per the fixation of the CDSU a press statement said Andhra (Permer Rice ) is to be sold at Rs 1200/50 kgs ,Punjab Superfine Rs 1000/50kgs , Sugar Rs 1900/ 50 kgs, Potato rs 750/50 kgs Dal 3000/45 kgs , Maida 900/45kgs ,Atta 850/45kgs mustard oil, soap, detergents etc as per MRP , petrol 65 / litre , Diesel 50/litre.
